The data shows the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The daily average EMS call volume is running&nbsp;<strong>5.96%<\/strong>&nbsp;below the average for&nbsp;<strong>August<\/strong>&nbsp;of 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Potential call types remain steady, and for the week of&nbsp;<strong>8\/24\/2020<\/strong>&nbsp;thru&nbsp;<strong>8\/30\/2020&nbsp;<\/strong>and crews encountered&nbsp;<strong>5<\/strong>&nbsp;known +COVID-19 patients<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Non-traumatic, non-transported field terminations are averaging&nbsp;<strong>1.73\/day<\/strong>, this is&nbsp;<strong>.44\/day<\/strong>&nbsp;more than&nbsp;<strong>August<\/strong>&nbsp;of last year (<strong>1.29\/day<\/strong>), an increase of&nbsp;<strong>34.11%<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>DAYTON\/MONTGOMERY COUNTY<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Confirmed cases in Dayton\/Montgomery County have grown from&nbsp;<strong>5,260<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>8\/23<\/strong>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<strong>5,728&nbsp;<\/strong>on&nbsp;<strong>8\/23<\/strong>, this is an increase of&nbsp;<strong>468<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>(8.90%)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The week of&nbsp;<strong>8\/10\/2020<\/strong>&nbsp;thru&nbsp;<strong>8\/16\/2020<\/strong>&nbsp;saw an average case growth rate of&nbsp;<strong>0.85%<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>the week of&nbsp;<strong>8\/17\/2020<\/strong>&nbsp;thru&nbsp;<strong>8\/23\/2020<\/strong>&nbsp;saw a<strong>&nbsp;1.06%<\/strong>&nbsp;daily average, thus Dayton\/Montgomery County is tracking&nbsp;<strong>UP&nbsp;<\/strong>so far as case growth rate&nbsp;<strong>(Most recent week omitted due to reporting lag)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Deaths in Dayton\/Montgomery County have grown from&nbsp;<strong>127<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>8\/23<\/strong>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<strong>128<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>8\/30<\/strong>, this is an increase of&nbsp;<strong>1 (0.79%)<\/strong>.&nbsp; Bringing observed mortality in the region to&nbsp;<strong>2.23%<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Our current case incidence of the population is at&nbsp;<strong>1.08%<\/strong>, we have now surpassed the State level of case incidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>NOTE:<\/strong>&nbsp; A large driving factor to the recent upswing in cases locally is the outbreak currently being contained at the University of Dayton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>OHIO<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Confirmed cases in Ohio have grown from&nbsp;<strong>118,367&nbsp;<\/strong>on&nbsp;<strong>8\/23&nbsp;<\/strong>to&nbsp;<strong>122,262&nbsp;<\/strong>on&nbsp;<strong>8\/30<\/strong>, this is an increase of&nbsp;<strong>3,865<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>(3.29%)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The week of&nbsp;<strong>8\/10\/2020<\/strong>&nbsp;thru&nbsp;<strong>8\/16\/2020<\/strong>&nbsp;saw an average case growth rate of&nbsp;<strong>0.83%<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>the week of&nbsp;<strong>8\/17\/2020<\/strong>&nbsp;thru&nbsp;<strong>8\/23\/2020<\/strong>&nbsp;saw a<strong>&nbsp;0.65%<\/strong>&nbsp;daily average, thus Ohio is tracking&nbsp;<strong>DOWN&nbsp;<\/strong>so far as case growth rate&nbsp;<strong>(Most recent week omitted due to reporting lag)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Deaths in Ohio have grown from&nbsp;<strong>4,094<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>8\/23<\/strong>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<strong>4,128<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>8\/30<\/strong>, this is an increase of&nbsp;<strong>34 (0.83%)<\/strong>.&nbsp; Bringing observed mortality in the State to&nbsp;<strong>3.38%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The State\u2019s case incidence is at&nbsp;<strong>1.05%<\/strong>&nbsp;of the population<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>UNITED STATES<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Confirmed case in the U.S. have grown from&nbsp;<strong>5,643,812&nbsp;<\/strong>on&nbsp;<strong>8\/23&nbsp;<\/strong>to&nbsp;<strong>5,934,824&nbsp;<\/strong>on&nbsp;<strong>8\/30<\/strong>, this is an increase of&nbsp;<strong>291,012 (5.16%)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The past seven days have seen an average case growth rate of&nbsp;<strong>0.72%<\/strong>, the previous week saw a<strong>&nbsp;0.79%&nbsp;<\/strong>daily average, thus the United States is tracking&nbsp;<strong>DOWN<\/strong>&nbsp;so far as daily case growth rates<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Deaths in the U.S. have grown from&nbsp;<strong>175,651<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>8\/23&nbsp;<\/strong>to&nbsp;<strong>182,149<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>8\/30<\/strong>, this is an increase of&nbsp;<strong>6,498 (3.70%)<\/strong>.&nbsp; Bringing observed mortality in the U.S. to&nbsp;<strong>3.07%<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The National case incidence is at&nbsp;<strong>1.81%<\/strong>&nbsp;of the population<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the normal statistics, this week I have also included an analysis as to the efficacy of masks since the Governor\u2019s mask order went into effect in Montgomery county.&nbsp;
