{"id":153,"date":"2020-03-18T18:33:25","date_gmt":"2020-03-18T18:33:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gmvemsc.org\/covid19\/?p=153"},"modified":"2020-04-02T14:59:11","modified_gmt":"2020-04-02T18:59:11","slug":"covid-19-collection-site","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gmvemsc.org\/covid19\/regional-news\/covid-19-collection-site\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19 Collection Site"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Premier Health, University of Dayton to Set Up COVID-19 Collection Site<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DAYTON, Ohio &#8211; March 16, 2020<\/strong>: Along with public health officials and other health care providers locally, statewide, and nationally, Premier Health recognizes the need to make testing for coronavirus (COVID-19) available as soon as possible. We have been actively planning to do our part to help address this critical public health need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are collaborating with the University\nof Dayton to set up a collection site in the UD Arena parking lot, 1801\nEdwin C. Moses Blvd., beginning on Tuesday, March 17. This site will offer\na process to collect specimens from patients <strong>who have a physician order with\nthem for a COVID-19 test to be performed<\/strong>. A logistical team from the\nUniversity of Dayton will be on hand to direct traffic. Security also will be\npresent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hours of operation will be 10 am to 6\npm each day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To ensure an orderly process, it is vitally important that those who have symptoms that are consistent with the COVID-19 virus first contact their family physician or primary care provider and work with their provider&#8217;s office to see if they meet certain criteria before they come to the collection site.
