Governor Jon Husted, and Dr. Amy Acton, MD, MPH, today continued to remind Ohioans of the oncoming shortage of&nbsp;personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, goggles, gloves, gowns and face shields for healthcare workers and first responders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking care of a\npatient who is in intensive care for a 24-hour shift requires:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>36 pairs of gloves<\/li><li>14 gowns<\/li><li>3 pairs of goggles<\/li><li>13 N-95 face masks.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The state of Ohio is asking residents and businesses who can\ndonate PPE, or any other essential service or resource, to email <a href=\"mailto:together@governor.ohio.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">together@governor.ohio.gov<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staff will receive these emails and coordinate how these resources\ncan best be used to benefit all Ohioans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>March 26, 2020 (COLUMBUS, Ohio)\u2014&nbsp;Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt.
